Timeline of Kasetsart University
Event on December 16, 1991
Faculty of Veterinary Technology, Kasetsart University
The Faculty of Veterinary Technology, Kasetsart University was initiated from the School of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Livestock Development. Until Kasetsart University Council had a resolution to accept the School of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Livestock Development, to be the affiliated institute. In collaboration with the Department of Livestock Development, the curriculum was improved to be a bachelor's degree program in veterinary technology or veterinary science as appropriate (the Faculty Veterinary Technology, therefore, considered December 16, 1991 as the founding date). Until the year 1995, the Department of Livestock Development changed the name of the School of Veterinary Medicine to Veterinary Medicine College. In 1999, the Department of Livestock Development and Kasetsart University signed “the agreement of the transference of the Veterinary Medicine College to be under Kasetsart University”. The university has continued to develop until the announcement of establishment of the Faculty of Veterinary Technology on April 26, 2006 with Associate Professor Dr. Woravuth Ruekamnuaychai as the first Dean.
