Professor Dr. Phaitoon Ingkasuwan, the 8th Kasetsart University President

Professor Dr. Phaitoon Ingkasuwan was the 8th President of Kasetsart University (February 29, 1980 – February 28, 1982). He was born on November 19, 1931 at Saraburi province, son of Mr. Tan and Mrs. Prapai Ingkasuwan. His father’s family was a rice farmer at Saraburi province. His mother’s family was a farmer at Thonburi province. Professor Dr. Phaitoon Ingkasuwan’s father served the government as an agricultural teacher and had been transferred to other schools several times and the family moved with him. Coinciding with the World War II period, Professor Dr. Phaitoon Ingkasuwan changed the school in the kindergarten, primary and secondary levels for 9 times. He went to kindergarten at Non Wat district, Nakorn Ratchasima province, completed his high school at Bangkok Christian College. The school that he spent time longest was Wat Prachaban Wat Mae Jo, Chiang Mai province because his father had been transferred to teach at The Agricultural Teacher Training School for Primary Level at Mae Jo (presently the Mae Jo University).
