Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Kaphaeng Saen
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Kamphaengsaen Campus was developed from the university policy on expanding education boundary to the outer area of the Bangkok to acquire the suitable area for experiments, cropping, and livestock in line with being a university that studies agriculture. Veterinary medicine was one of the curriculum offering study programs at the Kamphaengsaen Campus. On November 8, 1979, the year 5th - 6th students were transferred to study at the Kamphaengsaen Campus to increase the knowledge of the students in livestock and various fields. Many departments were supporting the teaching, research and academic services for students and nearby communities in the central and western regions and other communities across the country. There were 5 departments, including the Department of Companion Animals Clinical Sciences, the Department of Farm Resources and Production Medicine, the Department of Veterinary Public Health, and the Department of Pathology. Aldo, there were other 3 organization, namely, an experiment station, 2 hospitals which were Kasetsart University Veterinary Teaching Hospital (Kamphaeng Saen) and Kasetsart University Veterinary Teaching Hospital (Nong Pho), to support the teaching and studying on clinical practice, to ensure the students would gain the experience on livestock and to provide off-site animal care services in both Nakorn Pathom and nearby areas.
