Mom Luang Xujati Kambhu, the 5th Kasetsart University President
Mom Luang Xujati Kambhu was the 5th President of Kasetsart University (August 2, 1965 – October 31, 1967). He was born on January 4, 1905 at Pratusamyod sub-district, Pra Nakorn district, Pra Nakorn province, the eldest son of Major General Phraya Surasena (Mom Ratchawong Chit Kambhu) and Khun Ying Pha-Aob Surasena. Somdet Phrasri Patcharindrabharomrachineenard graciously bestowed the noble title. He had 12 siblings. He went to Debsirin School in 1914 and completed the secondary level when he was 17 years old. In 1923, he went into the royal scholarship competition to study abroad at the United Kingdom, St. Peter's School, York for 2 years before he went to City and Guild's Engineering College, London University in 1925. He spent 5 years to complete the master’s degree in civil engineering and received the certificate in A.C.G.I., B.Sc., civil engineering from A.C.G.I. (Advanced Diploma of Imperial College), master’s degree M. Sc. In concrete and hydraulic in 1929. He was the trainee in civil engineering in the Office of Public Works and Town & Country Planning of the United Kingdom for 1 year before coming back to Thailand and worked for the Royal Irrigation Department in 1930.
