Professor Dr. Kamphol Adulavidhaya, Kasetsart University 26th Chairman of the University Council

Professor Dr. Kamphol Adulavidhaya was the 26th Chairman of the Kasetsart University Council (November 7, 2008 – March 6, 2013). He was born on December 26, 1935 at Nakronsri Thammaratch province, son of Mr. Yuanh and Mrs. Daeng Adulavidhaya. He started the primary school at Tessaban 1 School and completed the high school year 6 at Benjamarachutit School. After that, he went to Bangkok to continue his study by staying at Wat Pho and went to secondary studying level year 7-8 before he enrolled in Kasetsart University, the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry according to his attention to studying in the agricultural field. After completing a 5-year program with a bachelor’s degree with second-class honor, he received a scholarship from The Agricultural Development Council, the United States, who supported the Kasetsart University on teaching, studying, and research development on Agricultural Economics that will drive the national agricultural development. Also, he received the scholarship for the master’s degree to study at Oregon State University. After returning to Thailand, he was the faculty member at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Economics and Cooperative Science for 4 years before receiving the scholarship for a Ph.D. study on the Agricultural Economics at Purdue University, Indiana State, the United States. After returning to Thailand, he worked in the same department, the Department of Agricultural Economics, taught many subjects and conducted many research work before entering the management position.
