Mr. Pramote Maiklud, Kasetsart University 25th Chairman of the University Council

Mr. Pramote Maiklud was the 25th Chairman of the Kasetsart University (October 10, 2006 – October 16, 2008). He was born on May 3, 1940 at Bang Pra Kok sub-district, Ratsburana district, Bangkok, son of Mr. Kritsana Maiklud and Mrs. Pinh Maiklud, the farmers. Archarn Pramote Maiklud received primary education at Rojjananimit in Ratsburana district and continue the secondary level at the Amnuayvidhya School in Phra Pra Daeng district, Samut Prakarn province for 2 years. After that, he moved to Amnuay Silpa Dhonburi School and Amnuay Silpa School at Phayathai.After completing secondary school year 8, he entered the Faculty of Irrigation Engineering, Kasetsart University in 1958 and graduated with honor in 1963. After graduation, he started working at the Royal Irrigation Department at Kaeng Krachan Dam, Petchaburi province, which was in the early stage of construction. He worked there for only 10 months before receiving the scholarship from Prince Mahidol Award Foundation to study at the University of California at Davis, the United States. He received a Master of Engineering (Irrigation and Water Resources Engineering) and got into the training program and received a Certificate in Irrigation, Drainage, and Ground Water Engineering from the Bureau of Reclamation, the United States.
