Research and Development Building

The Research and Development Building was the first building of the Nong Han Chalermphrakiat Park. It was a 3-story building with an area 450 square metre, using the construction budget total of 3,000,000.00 Baht. The construction was started on February 25, 2003 and completed on October 7, 2003. The building housed the Office of the Nong Han Chalermphrakiat Project, the Research Center on aquatic animals and aquatic plants, partly for research and experiment management, also been the center that accumulated information related to Nong Han, such as aquatic animals and aquatic plant databases, natural science and environment. It was also the training center for the farmers. Presently, it is the center to study and accumulate the lotus species of Thai and internationally more than 300 species.
