The First Farmer-Naval Traditional Sports Day

The First Kaset-Naval Traditional Sports Day was held in 1952. The rugby match was held at Pak Nam between “Farmer”, which was Kasetsart University as away team, and “Naval”, which was Royal Thai Naval Academy as the home team, to create the friendship between two institutions. There was a party after the match. Each institution took turns to host the sports day and become the tradition. Later, there was some inappropriate circumstance, the sports day was canceled before being held again in 1972 by Rear Admiral Praphat Chanthawirach. Again, the sports day was canceled until 1992 that Vice Admiral Phairoj Santiwejchakul, the then Commander of the Royal Thai Naval Academy, brought back the sports day and become the tradition until the present.
