Admiral of the Fleet Luang Yutthasartkosol, Kasetsart University 12th Chairman of the University Council

Admiral of the Fleet Luang Yutthasartkosol, formerly known as Prayulr Sarttraruji, was the 12th Chairman of the Kasetsart University Council (December 8, 1951 – March 24, 1952). He was born on October 19, 1893 at Samranrat, Bangkok, son of Luang Wijitr Soontornkarn and Mrs. Pleian Sarttraruji. He was married to Ms. Prauilr Chantornsawasdi on August 19, 1923 and had 5 children. He studies at Anukromthayakarn (Wat Saket), Suankularp Ankrit School. He graduated from Royal Thai Naval Academy in 1911, Naval War College in 1933, and served in Royal Thai Navy since 1911 and retired after in the position of Secretary of Defense in 1944. On January 1, 1956, he was bestowed with the highest rank as Admiral of the Fleet which made a new mark in the Royal Thai Navy History as the first person who graduated from Royal Thai Naval Academy and made this position. He was appointed the Minister of Agriculture on December 8, 1951 and Chairman of the Kasetsart University Council from December 8, 1951 – March 24, 1952. Admiral of the Fleet Luang Yutthasartkosol died on December 11, 1975 at age 82 years old.
