Information Technology Building (Building No. 9)

Information Technology Building was the ninth building of The Chalermphrakiet Sakon Nakhon Province Campus, Kasetsart University. It was the 3-story buildings with an area 8,000 square metre each, using the construction budget total of 65,931,000.00 Baht. The construction was started on August 1, 2001. Professor Rapee Sagarik, the former Kasetsart University President, presided over the auspicious foundation stone laying ceremony on Thursday, August 15, 2002 at 1:25 pm. The construction was completed on April 30, 2003. His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati and Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, graciously presided over the official opening ceremony on the campus. The Information Technology Building was the center for information technology and communication, computer service, teleconference, training, seminar, and library. It was the most completed information centers on the campus. The ground floor housed the e-library and the Office of Extension and Training Center on the campus, as well as the archives hall where all the important events since the beginning of the campus were recorded. The second floor housed the meeting room named Rapee Sagarik Meeting Room, accommodated 500 seats, and also opened for public people. There were other 2 meeting rooms accommodated 100 – 200 seats. There were the office of the Director of the Office of Academic Service, lecture room, computer room, the Registrar Office, multi-function space. Moreover, in front of the building, there was the Philosophy Space, which was designed with magnificent and unique. It was one of the most outstanding buildings on the campus to convey the 4 important missions of the university.
