Colonel Chuang Chawengsakdisongram, Kasetsart University 6th Chairman of the University Council
Colonel Chuang Chawengsakdisongram was the 6th Chairman of the Kasetsart University Council (May 31, 1947 – November 8, 1947). He was born on March 10, 1899, son of Mr. Rod or Boonrod, the descendant of the military officer of King Taksin the Great and settled down as a farmer in Nakornnayok province, and Mrs. Tim or Tubtim. He studied at Wat Pho, Nakornnayok suburb just like his father’s childhood. When he was 9, he went to Nakorn Pittayakom School located at Wat Pho. This was the mandatory studying program initiated by the Ministry of Public Instruction and Religion. After he was under the patron os Luang Jitbanjongkarn, his brother-in-law, and Mrs. Thong Yu, his sister, he moved and changed school according to his brother-in-law’s government service operation. He studied 2nd year of primary school at Chonburi province and went to Udom Pittayakorn School (Wat Kampang) at Chachoengsao province, 3rd year at Wat Muang School. During that period, the government established the regional general education school and introduce the new education knowledge standard. He was fine-tuning to the 3rd year of secondary school level. Then he continued his study 4th year of secondary school level at Benjamarachutit School, which was the school for boys at Chachoengsao province.
