Office of Academic Services (Sriracha Campus)
The Office of Academic Services Sriracha Campus was equivalent to the Office in the higher education institution with objectives to increase the educational opportunity in order to meet the Eastern Seaboard economic development; to increase the educational level in science and business administration to meet the production base and economic system. It was approved to be put in the Higher Education Development Plan volume 7 as the “Community College”. In 1996, the subcommittee considered having an additional organization in the higher education level and agreed to upgrade to Sriracha Campus. Later, the resolution from the Kasetsart University Council Meeting 3rd/2542 (1999) on March 15, 1999 was to upgrade the “Sriracha Campus Establishment Project” to be the “Sriracha Campus”, where The Office of Academic Services Sriracha Campus was the internal unit. The process of establishing the campus began in 1996 according to the Higher Education Development Plan volume 7.The operation plan was divided into 3 periods. From 1989 – 1991, started to prepare various aspects for the establishment of the Faculty together with the establishment of the Sriracha Campus, especially the policy formulation, operating plan, faculty course syllabus, and management guidelines. In 1989, it proposed to put the faculty founding project in the Higher Education Development Plan volume 7 but it only received approval from the Ministry of University Affairs to establish the “Community College”. In 1991, prepared the project details for approval and began the construction of basic campus utilities according to budget allocation. From 1992 – 1994, started the construction of a lecture hall building of Sriracha Campus (Office of Academic Services Building). In 1995, construction of the personnel residential condominium for faculty, civil servant, and the university employees, and construction of Laboratory Building for Engineering and Technology (workshop building for the Faculty of Industrial Technology and the Faculty of Environmental and Resources Management). In 1997, the Office of Academic Services was established to manage the education related to the laboratory room, equipment, audiovisual, as well as the library of the Sriracha Campus to support the studying and teaching of the faculty and other academic services providers. In 2003, the Office of Academic Service Providing reorganized the organization structure and defined the responsibility of the Office of Academic Service Providing in 3 aspects, which are the library service, information technology service, and educational technology service, at the same time, reduced the role in academic service providing to community and research work. In 2005, it proposed to rename to the Office of Academic Services and reorganize to have 4 divisions, including the Office of Secretary, the Computer Service Division, the Library Division, and the Educational Technology. In 2009, the Office of Academic Services proposed to reorganize with one additional division resulting in having a total of 5 divisions, including the Office of Secretary, the Computer Service Division, the Library Division, the Educational Technology, and the Maintenance Division until the present.
