Faculty of Science at Sriracha
Faculty of Science at Sriracha The establishment of faculty of Resources and Environmental aimed to focus on manpower and human resource management in science and technology, resources and environmental management for supporting the development the eastern coast area. Over and above was to disseminate a knowledge, understand and academic service and to encourage the development of science and technology for supporting the changes of national economics, socials and a resources and environmental treatment. It started accepting students for the first time in the academic year 1997. The past operation would be described as follows. In 1997, it offered the Bachelor of Science Program in Computer Science. In 1998, it offered the Bachelor Science Program in Environmental Science. In 2006, it offered the Bachelor of Science Program in Computer Science (special program). In 2007, it offered the Bachelor of Science Program in information technology (regular and special program).The Kasetsart University Council meeting 10th/ B.E.2554 (2011) on December 26, 2011 gave the approval to rename the Faculty of Environmental and Resources Management to the “Faculty of Science at Sriracha” since January 12, 2012. Also, to reorganize the structure, it included 1. The Office of the Secretary 2. The Environmental Program 3. Basic Science and Physical Education Program 4. The Computer Science Program. In 2013, there were 3 additional bachelor’s degree programs offered, including 1. Bachelor of Science Program in Applied Mathematics 2. Bachelor of Science Program in Physics 3. Bachelor of Science Program in Chemistry. In 2014, The Kasetsart University Council meeting 14th/ B.E.2557 (2014) on April 28, 2014 gave the approval for the Faculty of Science at Sriracha to offer the Master of Science Program in Natural Product Science and Technology and it was put in the Higher Education Development Plan B.E. 2555 – 2559 (2012 – 2016). Its first class started in the second semester of the academic year 2014.
