The Sakon Nakhon Province Campus, Kasetsart University (Phu Phan Kanchanaphisek) was graciously bestowed with the name “The Chalermphrakiet Sakon Nakhon Province Campus, Kasetsart University” on August 15, 1996, together with the “The Royal Ceremonial Emblem on the 50th Anniversary of His Majesty the King's Accession to the Throne” to be enshrined on the administrative building, which was the first building of the campus, and on the Multi-purpose Space in Honor of His Majesty the King. Therefore, the date August 15, 1996 was considered the founding date of the Chalermphrakiet Sakon Nakhon Province Campus, Kasetsart University
