Kasetsart University Radio Station was established on September 20, 1961 to publicize the agricultural knowledge and research to the farmers and all interested people. At the same time, it is a student training station to understand and being able to disseminate knowledge through Kasetsart University radio broadcasting. The Kasetsart University Radio Station Management Committee was set up in 1962, shortly after the KU Radio Station opening ceremony.The committees comprised of Professor Dr. Prasert na Nagara, the University Secretary, as the chairman, the University Secretary; Professor Dr. Phanom Smitananda, Head of the Office of Extension and Promotion, as the committee and secretary; Associate Professor Phorn Suwanvajokkasikij, Head of Kasetsart University Radio Station. Currently, the KU Radio Station broadcast with 10 kilowatts of power (Chiangmai 5 kilowatts) by broadcasting through the "Thaicom 1" satellite in the AM Stereo system with 4 stations, namely - KU Radio Station, Bangkhen at the frequency of 1,107 kilohertz - Chiangmai KU Radio Station at the frequency of 612 kilohertz - Khonkaen KU Radio Station at the frequency of 1,314 kilohertz - Songkla Radio Station at the frequency of 1,269 Kilohertz.
